One to three people die on the streets and along the rivers in Sacramento each week, many due to advanced illnesses. Joshua's House is California's first homeless hospice, and is dedicated to providing comfort and care to our community members who are most in need. The Harmony for the Homeless benefit concert will raise funds for the establishment of Joshua's House, as well as promote awareness of the various issues surrounding homelessness and healthcare. The concert will feature The UC Davis Concert Band, the Camerata California Chamber Choir, The San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band, and the award-winning pianist, Richard Glazier. The program will include George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and American in Paris, as well as a Vaughn Williams's setting of a Walt Whitman poem that represents the human soul transformation. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go towards the establishment of Joshua's House. Join us in our mission to provide compassionate care to our homeless community members. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
