Run for the Children from Foster Care to Forever Family

Sponsored by Sacramento State, Run for the Children is an opportunity for participants to choose the activity of their choice to support local youth and families. Whether by running or walking the streets of Sacramento, kayaking the American River, or biking the trails at Folsom Lake, funds raised will support SSYAF’s Pathway to Permanence program which connects local foster children with the love, safety, and unconditional commitment of a family. Stanford Sierra Youth & Families provides a continuum of care to empower youth and families to overcome challenges together, as well as connects youth in foster care to the permanent loving families they need and deserve. With over 9,000 Sacramento children in need of services, SSYAF supports the entire family with professional treatment and compassionate care so that every youth has the opportunity to thrive.
