A Message from Robert Heidt
Sacramento Metro Chamber's CEO Quarterly Update: Second Edition
To our Valued Members,
As 2025 comes to a close, I’m filled with deep gratitude and excitement over an undeniable sense of momentum.
The past two years have marked a powerful evolution for the Sacramento Metro Chamber—an organization now firmly grounded, sharply focused, and energized by purpose.
Thank you to the collective dedication of our Board, our Chamber team, and most importantly, you—our valued members—we’ve redefined what it means to serve this region. Together, we’ve strengthened our foundation, renewed our mission, and elevated our role as a trusted leader and convener for the Capital Region.
Your Chamber. For Business.
This year, the Chamber continued to deliver measurable value to our members and to the region.
We led bold conversations on public safety, regional competitiveness, and economic growth; expanded resources for member businesses; and grew our membership base by double digits. We also launched new digital tools to make engagement easier, more accessible, and more impactful.
In addition, we expanded our program portfolio with the acquisition of the Sacramento Speakers Series—bringing an iconic civic platform into the Chamber family and strengthening our role as a regional convener for meaningful dialogue and thought leadership.
The results of this work are reflected in several key metrics that highlight our reach, impact, and momentum over the past year:
- Membership growth: We grew our membership base by nearly 30% year-over-year, expanding the reach and impact of the Metro Chamber across the Capital Region.
- Events & programs: We delivered more than 110 hours of programming to over 2,600 participants, strengthening connectivity, leadership, and business resources throughout the region.
- Advocacy: We took on 63 policy issues, advanced 8 business-focused initiatives, and conducted 84 elected official meetings across the region.
- Digital engagement: our digital platforms averaged a 964% increase in member interactions year-over-year, continuing a trend of strong and growing engagement across all channels.
These milestones reflect more than progress—they reaffirm the Chamber’s commitment to ensure that no question is unanswered, no business is unsupported, and no member is ignored. Every day, we are here for you, leading with a collective voice for the Capital Region.
Looking Ahead to 2026
My vision for the Sacramento Metro Chamber remains clear and unwavering:
Your Chamber will serve as a critical driver in helping the Capital Region meet and achieve its next chapter of growth. We will be a Chamber that unites business, government, and community around shared prosperity, one that doesn’t just respond to change but confidently builds and leads the important conversations necessary to move us forward.
In 2026, your Sacramento Metro Chamber will:
- Convene key voices across public and private sectors to co-create solutions on pressing issues such as housing, public safety, workforce readiness, and economic prosperity. Will you lend your voice?
- Champion public policies and critical advocacy efforts at the local and state levels that impact economic development and regional competitiveness—to be the trusted voice of the regional business community. Will you join us in our policy committees?
- Invest in building inclusive economic pathways and resources supporting emerging entrepreneurs, small businesses, and future-focused industries. Will you share your challenges so we can work on solutions?
- Strengthen partnerships with organizations that share our vision for a thriving, connected, and innovative Capital Region. Will you help us build key connection points?
- Create and cultivate opportunities to develop the next generation of business and community leaders committed to this region. Will you share your rising leaders?
This is the work that lies ahead—and we are honored to lead it with you, moving forward together.
With gratitude,

Robert W. Heidt, Jr.
