Metro Chamber Foundation Calls Out for Local Nonprofits to Apply to Become Recipient of Leadership Sacramento Class of 2026
Deadline for nonprofits to apply is February 6



SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Sacramento Metro Chamber Foundation is calling out for local nonprofits to apply to become the recipient of the next community betterment project to be led by the Leadership Sacramento Class of 2026. The 41st Leadership Sacramento cohort is comprised of 40 motivated and inspired individuals representing a diverse variety of businesses and organizations throughout the region. Each year, Leadership Sacramento partners with a local nonprofit and identifies a deserving project. After a year of service, the program culminates with the completion of a community betterment project.
Recent examples of Leadership Sacramento community betterment partners and completed projects include the following:
- Partnering with Alchemist CDC for the revitalization of the Oak Park Sol Community Garden by the Class of 2025;
- Partnering with Street Soccer USA Sacramento to build a second park facility at along the Del Paso Corridor by the Class of 2024.
“Without question, the highlight of the Leadership Sacramento program each year is working in partnership with an amazing local nonprofit and immersing ourselves in a community project that impacts lives, uplifts the community, and makes the future brighter for our charitable partner,” said Sacramento Metro Chamber Foundation Program Manager Savannah Fox. “We encourage interested nonprofits to apply for the program so we can shine a light on another incredible organization.”
Local nonprofits interested in becoming the recipient of the community betterment project are encouraged to apply via this link by February 6, 2026. After a collaborative review and selection process, the nonprofit recipient and community betterment project will be announced in April 2026. Over the past eight years, Leadership Sacramento classes have invested more than $1.9 million in local community nonprofits.
